APP PRIVACY
QR-Fi
Privacy Policy
QR-Fi does not collect personal data or send your Wi-Fi names, passwords, QR codes, or location to the developer. There are no accounts, advertisements, analytics, or tracking tools.
What this policy covers
This policy describes the QR-Fi iPhone application, also known as QRFi. The developer and person responsible for the app is Burak Bozteke. Contact the developer through the support page.
Information stored on your iPhone
You may enter and save a Wi-Fi network name (SSID), password, security type, and hidden-network setting. These details are processed locally to create Wi-Fi QR codes. Saved network settings are stored in the app’s protected local storage and excluded from device backups. Saved passwords are stored in the iOS Keychain using device-only protection. QR-Fi has no developer-operated service that receives these details.
Optional permissions
- Location while using the app: if you choose to read the currently connected Wi-Fi network name, iOS may require location permission and precise-location access. QR-Fi uses this permission only to obtain the Wi-Fi name through the iOS system API. It does not track your location, collect location history, or use location in the background. You can enter the network name manually instead.
- Adding to Photos: if you choose to save a QR image, QR-Fi requests permission to add images to your photo library. It does not request access to read your existing photos.
You can change or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings. QR code generation from manually entered details does not require location permission.
Sharing QR codes
A Wi-Fi QR code can contain your network name and password. A person who scans the code may be able to connect to the network. Sharing or saving an image happens only when you choose that action. If you share through another app or service, that recipient handles the image under its own privacy practices. Images saved to Photos may be synchronized by your own photo-library settings. Share codes only with people and destinations you trust.
Data collection and third parties
QR-Fi does not send app data to the developer, sell personal information, use advertising identifiers, or include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. There is no user account or cloud synchronization service operated by the developer. Apple’s operating system, App Store, and any services you independently choose have their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Saved networks remain on your device until you delete them in QR-Fi. Deleting a saved network removes its local record and associated Keychain password. Previously exported images and copies shared with others are separate; remove those yourself from Photos or the destination where you saved or sent them. iOS may retain Keychain entries after an app is uninstalled, so delete saved networks inside QR-Fi before uninstalling if you want their associated credentials removed.
Children’s privacy
QR-Fi does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. It has no accounts or age-based data collection.
When you contact support
If you choose to send a support request on this website, the information you submit is handled separately from the app. See the Website Privacy Policy. Do not include Wi-Fi passwords or other secrets in a support message.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated if the app’s features or privacy practices change. The effective date will be updated on this page. For questions or help deleting locally stored information, use QR-Fi support.
